Wendy Kleine was born in Encino, CA and lived in Southern California until she was 7 years old and then moved with her family to
Chicago, IL. While she had been influenced by her mother's love of art as a small child, she was also inspired by her many trips to
the Chicago Art Institute. In 1972 she and her family moved to the small mountain town of Lake Arrowhead, CA, where she attended
the art program at Rim of The World High School and fell in love with the beauty of Nature. Wendy moved to San Diego, CA to
attend Grossmont College and earned an AA degree in Art with an emphasis on ceramics. She was a Teacher's Aide at a local High
School teaching Wood Shop and Arts and Crafts until she opened a Gallery and Frame shop in Hillcrest, CA, for IO years. For the
past 6 years she has been teaching acrylic and watercolor to children and adults. In 2015 Wendy began focusing on her own work
using acrylic, watercolor and mixed media. She divides her time between San Diego and Lake Arrowhead where she is continually
inspired by the beauty of nature.
